My senior year of high school, I was approached by the owner of Discover Mediaworks. This company produces and runs the infamous TV show Discover Wisconsin. The project he approached me with would be to create a 30th anniversary poster that would be printed and sold in celebration of the accomplishment.

I attended the governor's conference of tourism and autographed posters which were then handed out amongst the top influencers in tourism in the state. This was an incredible opportunity for me as a designer and marketing student.
The support from the community was incredible
The support I received from both my college town and home town were unbelievable. Articles were written about the poster in three newspapers, including; The Spectator (on-campus newspaper), The Eau Claire Newspaper, and the Vilas County Newspaper. In addition to the print platforms, two websites, including; the UW-Eau Claire website, and the News Watch 12 website.

Offices on campus had the posters framed and hung for display, and even congressman Ron has the piece on display in his Eau Claire office. Words truly cannot describe how thankful I am for the opportunity and all of the amazing support I received from Discover Mediaworks and their team.
